POSITION TITLE: Data Analyst (Entry Level)

PRIMARY LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ

REPORTS TO: Grants Manager 

EMPLOYMENT: Full time, non-exempt


POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Data Analyst supports Hushabye Nursery’s mission by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data across clinical, financial, and program areas. This entry-level position ensures accurate and timely reporting for grants, quality improvement, and strategic initiatives. The role focuses on maintaining data integrity, supporting EMR functionality, and producing actionable reports under the supervision of the Grants & Data Manager


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Compile,      analyze, and interpret healthcare data from multiple systems (KIPU, CMD,      Virtuous, Paylocity, etc.) to support program goals.
  • Collaborate      with staff to track and monitor metrics aligned with strategic goals and      grant compliance.
  • Develop      reports, charts, and visual summaries that communicate trends and outcomes      for leadership review.
  • Conduct      quality monitoring, including file audits, data validation, and trend      analysis.
  • Participate      in evaluation projects assessing family engagement and outcomes, including      telehealth services.
  • Conduct      basic qualitative content analysis to support program evaluation and      improvement.

Grant Reporting Support

  • Assist      in gathering and preparing data for grant applications, renewals, and      reports.
  • Maintain      organized electronic and physical files for all grant-related      documentation.
  • Provide      accurate data summaries for funders and stakeholders as directed by the      Grants & Data Manager.

EMR Administration & Technical Support

  • Serve      as Super Admin for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Maintain      user access, security permissions, and system configuration.
  • Coordinate      troubleshooting and collaborate with vendors or IT on updates and      enhancements.
  • Design      and maintain electronic forms and workflows to meet evolving clinical and programming      needs.
  • Stay      current on EMR updates and ensure seamless integration with reporting      systems.

Collaboration & Mission Alignment

  • Work      closely with Clinical, Outpatient, and Finance teams to ensure data      accuracy and compliance with billing and grant requirements.
  • Deliver      services and data support with compassion, professionalism, and cultural      sensitivity.
  • Complete      required orientation and maintain job-specific competencies.
  • Perform      other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • 2+ year experience in data entry,      reporting, or analytics (internship or academic experience accepted).
  • Proficiency in Excel Power Query, SQL,      Power BI Data Modeling (DAX) 
  • Basic understanding of healthcare      operations or nonprofit data systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving      skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with      both technical and non-technical staff.

EDUCATION (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS) and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s      degree in healthcare administration, Business, Data Analytics,      Informatics, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent      combination of education and experience may be considered.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Workplace Environment: Work generally performed in professional office and clinical settings.
