The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. OCI is committed to providing the best in cloud products with integration of the latest AI technologies. 

The OCI Security Products team is focused on ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is the safest and most reliable environment for development we can provide to our customers. We keep up with the constantly evolving and challenging cyber-threat landscape, by developing novel ML/AI-based solutions and products to prevent and mitigate cyber-attacks on OCI. 

We are looking for top notch data analysts who are passionate about security and cloud technologies to join the OCI Security Analytics & Machine Learning team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is looking to drive technology and business decisions through data analysis, leveraging Petabytes of data of our Security Data Platform. You will be responsible for working with cross functional teams including core OCI Security, Security Operations, OCI AI team, and Product Management. You will be asked to use efficient data reporting to support data-driven decisions, building statistical baselines and deriving meaningful deviations. 

Responsibilities

  • Show initiative and enthusiasm in tackling challenging problems with innovative analysis 
  • Dataset cleaning and preparation for ML/AI algorithmic consumption 
  • Dataset statistical baselining, trend analysis, time series forecasting
  • Building reports and dashboards to communicate results to partners and stakeholders 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a data analyst role or similar position
  • Proficiency in various SQL-style languages for data querying and manipulation
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Proficiency in statistical methods for time series analysis, both historical and forecasting
  • Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience in working with various data stores, like data lakes, data warehouses, databases  
  • Knowledge of building ETL processes is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for efficient data result communication to partners and stakeholders 
  • BS or MS in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent 


Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
